The CPMS UIL Cast and Crew of The Diviners recently competed against all LISD middle schools at the LISD Middle School One Act Play Competition.

The CPMS production was unanimously voted the best production by the panel of judges, and took home the first place trophy, in addition to five additional acting and technical awards.

The awards ceremony started off with Carter Barrett, Connor Yasi, and Oliver Adams winning the Spike Tape Challenge trophy for CPMS.

Olivia Laster won a “Best Tech” award for her work as the production’s stage manager.

Ben McDanald won an All Star Cast award for his portrayal of Buddy.

Claire Poulter also won an All Star Cast award for her portrayal of Jennie Mae.

Finally, Aidan Townley won the Best Actor award for his portrayal of the pastor CC Showers, beating out all the other lead male actors in the district.

Each and every CPMS student both on and off stage did an outstanding job and blew the socks off the judges. A HUGE congratulations to the CPMS Cast and Crew on all of their hard work. We are so so proud of you!
